Medium Walsingham Calvary Crucifix
Known as ‘The Pilgrim’s Crucifix’, this medium-sized commemorative handcrafted wall crucifix is made from the oak of the original Calvary crosses at The Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham.
This 50 copy limited-edition commemorative crucifix has been handcrafted from the original three great oak crosses that stood on the Calvary site of the Shrine gardens in Walsingham from 1931 to 2019.
The cross is mounted by a beautiful, traditional, linden wood corpus, carved by a specialist team at the Holzschnitzereien Beuße workshop in Eisenberg-Speiden, Germany.
An historic cross that captures the twentieth-century revival of pilgrimage in Britain and the continuity of 1,000 years of Christian worship in Walsingham, England’s Nazareth.
- Size: 29 cm × 19 cm × 2 cm
- Size: 11 in × 7 in × 0.6 in

The appearance of each cross is unique, rustic and distressed. It may have markings from the last wood retrieved from the historic Calvary oak – this is a natural feature of each handcrafted example. No two are the same.
