Window Cling – Heavenly Host of Angels

The Heavenly Host of Angels are reproduced from one of eight panels, which decorate the interior of the Octagon Tower in Ely Cathedral. They were painted around 1874 during a restoration programme in the cathedral undertaken by Thomas Gambier Parry, an artist and art collector.

The Octagon Tower is made from oak timbers supported by eight massive masonry piers. It was built in the first part of the 14th century after the original Norman Tower collapsed in 1322.
