Pilgrim Arrow Badge
Introducing our Walsingham Arrow Badge, a refined devotional accessory that honours the sacred pilgrimage tradition.
A historic devotional item, the Arrow Badge - also known as a pilgrim token - was worn by medieval pilgrims visiting the Shrine. These brooch-style badges feature a circular design depicting the Annunciation, set within a circle and enclosed by a six-pointed star. One version appeared in this form, while another placed the same brooch design upon a broad arrow. Moulds used to produce these badges have been discovered locally and are now preserved in museums in London, Norfolk, and elsewhere. In 1935, Fr Patten had a replica of the badge struck which in turn has been recommissioned by Fr Ben, and is subsequently only available here in the Shrine Shop.
