Transfiguration

Measuring 21.5 cm in height, and made by the Bethleem community in France, this beautiful bas-relief plaque depicts Jesus and three of his apostles, Peter, James and John, go to a the Mount of Transfiguration to pray. Jesus begins to shine with bright rays of light and the prophets, Moses and Elijah appear next to him. Jesus then hears a voice in the sky calling him "son".
