Terracotta Wall Tile – Our Lady of Walsingham
This design is based on the image depicted on the 12th Century seal of the medieval priory, which in turn was used in the 1920's to create a statue found at The Anglican Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham. The Shrine founded in 1061 became one of the most important pilgrimage sites to rival Canterbury. It was visited by thousands of pilgrims from across Britain and Europe and became known as 'England's Nazareth'.
