Terracotta Wall Tile – Celtic Blessing
"A blessing on the hearth, a blessing on the home" - translated from the original Gaelic.
The design is based on carving from the Glamis Manse Stone found in the village of Glamis, Angusm Scotland. The 9th century Pictish stone has a Celtic cross on one side, with interlaced knot work, typical of early Celtic stone carving. Having no end or beginning to the knot, the pattern has come to represent the eternity of the soul.
- Fixing point is a diamond shaped hole towards the top amongst the knot work
