 "Plentie and Grace bi to this Place" was the original text seen painted onto a beam in the entrance hall of a Tudor manor house in Shropshire. Our ancestors often incorporated a benediction or blessing into their houses.

Here the text is set into a richly detailed frame surrounded by a little angel's head, based on a 17th century cartouche.

  • Fixing points are two triangular holes just above the inscription
